Citroen DS line could be enriched by a new model in the coming months. The manufacturer unveiled the concept of an SUV called Wild Ruby.
Citroen unveils its new concept car , the Wild Ruby, new expression of the DS line. It will be exhibited exclusively at the next Shanghai Motor Show, from 21 to 29 April.
The legacy of the DS 1955
DS Wild Ruby outlines the future SUV brand to the rafters. Designed to be equipped with the full-hybrid plug-in technology, this concept car adopts many technological innovations. The generous dimensions of the DS Wild Ruby (4.7 m long and 1.95 m wide), but also its 21-inch wheels, give him a feeling of power and strength. Its front is characterized by a grille embossed bearing the emblem DS as well as unpublished full LED headlamps. It includes a new section of its tail and has roof rails that extend into the body. For the manufacturer, this new concept car embodies the legacy of the DS 1955 .
A car cut out for China?
The decision to introduce this concept car exclusively in China is not trivial. It comes just days after the inauguration, still in Shanghai, a new flagship store dedicated to the DS range, consolidating the Citroën will develop in China, a few months after the launch in the country DS3, DS4 and DS5.
